Role Overview
Lead design, implementation, and optimization of Cisco UC solutions (CUCM, Unity, IMP, UCCX). Troubleshoot complex voice, video, and collaboration issues. Manage call routing, dial plans, SIP trunks, gateways, and voice gateways (CUBE). Ensure high availability, performance, and security of voice infrastructure. Perform upgrades, patches, and migration activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Deploy, manage, and support Cisco IP Telephony and Cisco Contact Center Express (UCCX) environment.
• Provide post-migration technical support and incident resolution for users.
• Handle complex issues by engaging with Cisco TAC and other vendors.
• Serve as SME for Cisco IP Telephony, acting as internal escalation point for Client Voice L3 operations.
• Lead rebalancing of multiple CUCM/UCCX clusters, coordinating all communications.
• Implement Mobile and Remote Access (MRA) backend deployment and provide technical support for next-gen remote hard phones.
• Support cluster upgrade of CUCM and UCCX to version 15.x.
• Deploy and maintain Cisco Voice Gateways (VG400/VG420) and support Cisco Expressway refresh projects.
• Provide technical support for Webex Calling deployment and rollout of Jabber Mobile.
Technical Expertise
• Primary technical SME for Cisco IP telephony, providing advanced guidance to Client Voice operations team.
• Post-migration support: troubleshoot and resolve user-reported incidents after system migrations.
• Vendor management: escalate complex technical problems and collaborate with Cisco TAC.
• CUCM cluster management: coordinate cluster rebalancing and stakeholder communications.
• MRA: lead backend deployment, early adopter rollout, and migration of related services.
