Provides in person counselling services for TELUS Health's Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Join our team:

TELUS Health is seeking a dedicated in-person clinician to join our TELUS Office in Surrey, BC.

The ideal candidate will provide short-term counselling services to employees of client organizations facing personal, family, or work-related challenges. This role is crucial in promoting mental health and well-being within the workplace, reflecting TELUS Health's core values of empathy, innovation, and excellence.

Summary:

Reporting to the Regional Clinical Manager, you will be providing in person and/or video counselling services for the TELUS Health Employee Assistance Program (EAP) in Surrey.

Here’s How:

  • Engage in solution-focused and trauma-informed therapy, supporting a diverse range of clients and presenting concerns.

  • Engage in other therapeutic interventions such as CBT, Narrative Therapy, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing.

  • Utilize a strength-based approach to empower clients throughout the change process.

  • Address a variety of issues including risk, addiction, relationship difficulties, parenting, family conflict, grief, aging, depression, anxiety, and workplace stress/conflict.

  • Deliver exceptional clinical services while embracing the TELUS Health culture of continuous learning.

  • Efficiently manage administrative requirements in accordance with the client's EAP model.

  • Effectively manage intake processes, conduct thorough assessments, and develop effective treatment plans.

  • Work independently within a shared office space alongside experienced clinicians.

What You Bring:

  • Master’s Degree in Counselling, Psychology, or Social Work.

  • Registration with Professional College or Association

  • Minimum of five years of post-master's clinical experience, supporting all client groups.

  • Certified or extensively trained in Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

  • Ability to set short term objectives and use a solution focused therapeutic approach, along with other therapeutic approaches.

  • Experience and ability to clinically manage high-risk cases, including clients who are a threat to self or others.

  • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to manage a large number of clients.

  • Exceptional customer service focus, high professionalism, and adherence to ethical principles of conduct.

  • Previous counselling experience working with professionals is an asset.

  • Experience in utilizing performance metrics to enhance client satisfaction and optimize service delivery.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Flexibility in working day/evening shifts.

  • Proven ability to work independently in a high-volume environment.

  • Ability to prioritize and adapt to the ebb and flow of daily responsibilities.

  • Basic knowledge of computer systems.

  • EAP industry experience is an asset.

Job Posting Vacancy Type: This is for a current vacancy

Expected annual base salary range for this role is: $52,500 - $106,000

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance, experience and location.
