Job description
Short-Term Nanny Opportunity – Corner Brook (April 24 – May 8) We are a professional family traveling to Corner Brook, NL for a short-term hospital project and are looking for a reliable, caring nanny to help care for our two boys (almost 3 and 7 years old). This is a fixed 2-week contract from approximately April 24 to May 8. About the Position We are looking for someone dependable, active, and comfortable caring for two children independently during the day. Our younger child (almost 3) is energetic and enjoys outdoor play. Our older child (7) is easygoing and may need occasional support with reading or light schoolwork. Both children love being outside, so getting out daily is an important part of the role. Primary Responsibilities - Full-time care for two children during daytime hours - Outdoor play, walks, and local outings (parks, library, pool) - Light support with reading/schoolwork for our 7-year-old - Preparing simple meals and snacks - Light housekeeping Schedule - Approximately April 24 – May 8 (short-term contract) - Primarily weekday daytime hours - Some flexibility may be helpful depending on work schedule Requirements - Experience caring for toddlers and school-aged children - Reliable, responsible, and able to manage two children independently - Comfortable planning activities and getting outside daily - CPR/First Aid certification is an asset - A completed criminal record check would be considered an asset Compensation - $16–$24/hour, depending on experience Additional Information - Accommodation is not provided - We are in Corner Brook to support a hospital electronic medical record rollout, so dependable childcare is essential - We aim to provide a respectful, straightforward working environment If this sounds like a good fit, please reply with a brief description of your experience and availability.
