The Co-op Students would join our Program Delivery Group based in Ajax with the placement to last up to either twelve (12) months or sixteen (16) months starting in May 2026. The Program Delivery Group is the central hub of the construction and maintenance project/program process at Elexicon that matches identified project/program requirements with appropriate resources to get them built, tracks them to their completion and provides status/attainment reports at regular intervals for key stakeholders. Additionally, the Group is also responsible for oversight and monitoring of work performed by Elexicon’s contractors.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support departments objectives of tracking progress of work and spending on Elexicon’s capital construction and maintenance projects/programs. This will involve regular interaction with engineering technicians, Elexicon field supervisors and managers as well as contractor staff, updating tracking tools such as spreadsheets and databases and providing regular status reports at progress meetings.
- Track and report on progress of departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Participate in the development of new KPIs.
- Assist in the development of future years annual capital and maintenance project/program plans, known as the Execution Work Program (EWP).
- Assist in the efforts to continuously evaluate and improve the effective operation of the department and division- including process mapping work using tools like MS Visio.
- Learn and apply the concepts of good project management and reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.
SAFETY
- Must participate in safety training and be knowledgeable of Company safety rules and practices and must implement safe work procedures that ensure the safety of the Company employees and customers.
KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, etc.)
- Basic Python programming knowledge would be an asset.
- Excellent conversation, writing and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of tools such as MS Visio, MS Project, etc.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Enrolled in an undergraduate Engineering, Computer Science or Business program.
Compensation Package: Hourly rate of $22.82 + OMERS Pension Plan
The above range reflects the reasonable estimate for the position at the time of posting. Within the range, hiring compensation will be determined based on relevant qualifications, experience, skillset, education/ training, and other organizational needs.
