Our customer, a leader in optical and visual display technologies for aerospace, military and other applications, is looking for a Project Manager. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will manage multiple projects at the same time, each with different customers, in a cross-functional environment, ensuring that established budget and schedule milestones are met.
- Support and coordinate preparation of statement of work, proposals, cost estimates and negotiation of contract terms of conditions with customers and suppliers;
- Ensure programs are completed on time and on budget;
- Develop, coordinate and monitor program management plans for each project;
- Establish resource plan and identify gaps. Support resource staffing.
- Maintain action tracking registers;
- Identify and manage program risks;
- Oversee configuration control activities and coordinate the implementation of engineering changes into production;
- Support supplier selection process, provide supplier oversight of critical components and systems for production;
- Direct QA and manufacturing teams based on project needs;
- Chair customer meetings, SRR, PDR, CDR, PRR.
Requirements:
- DEC or Bachelor's in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field; PMP certification is an asset;
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in project management in aerospace, military or similar industries;
- Experience in managing programs that have multiple phases from engineering development to manufacturing (up to 18 month project duration);
- Strong understanding of program/project management processes and procedures;
- Proficient with MS Office and MS Project (or similar);
- Bilingual (American customers).
