Building Services Technician
is responsible for the
maintenance, proper operation, and optimization
of the various
building services systems and infrastructures
across the company. The incumbent ensures that all infrastructures comply with
quality, safety, and food safety standards
, while maintaining a
safe and efficient work environment
. This position requires close collaboration with the
maintenance team
and
external contractors
to ensure optimal performance of building systems. Services:
Steam, potable water, wastewater, refrigeration, controlled-atmosphere rooms, etc. Buildings:
Plant, warehouses, biomass facilities Responsibilities Compliance with Standards and Regulations Know and comply at all times with
food quality and safety standards
,
occupational health and safety regulations
, and
company policies
; Ensure that all infrastructures comply with applicable
food safety regulations
(HACCP, SQF). Infrastructure Inspection, Maintenance, and Safety Perform
daily inspection, monitoring, operation, and cleaning rounds
of building systems; Carry out
preventive and corrective maintenance
to ensure infrastructure functionality and reliability; Ensure cleanliness and safety of
mechanical equipment and mechanical rooms
; Prepare
inspection and maintenance reports
, documenting completed work and corrective recommendations; Record all interventions and work performed in the
maintenance management system (CMMS)
. Infrastructure Improvement Propose and implement
infrastructure improvements
aimed at increasing
energy efficiency
and reducing
operating costs
; Collaborate with internal teams to
plan and execute infrastructure improvement projects
. Collaboration with Maintenance Work collaboratively with the
maintenance team
to support and optimize the
maintenance program
; Participate in
maintenance planning and follow-up meetings
; Submit
service or emergency requests
to maintenance to resolve building system equipment issues. Management of Specialized Equipment Promptly inform the
Refrigerated and Controlled-Atmosphere Warehouse Manager
of any equipment issues or non-conformities. Coverage and On‑Call Responsibilities Serve as a
backup for the Wastewater Treatment Technician role
; Participate in a
rotating weekend schedule (one weekend out of two)
covering all job responsibilities. Note:
