Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Engineer/Developer with extensive hands‑on experience in SailPoint File Access Manager (FAM) to join our Identity & Access Management (IAM) engineering team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise‑grade access governance solutions across complex, distributed environments.
Candidates should bring 5+ years of professional experience, strong engineering skills, and a deep understanding of access governance, file system security, and identity lifecycle processes. Experience in the Banking or Finance domain is highly desirable.
This position supports remote work, offering flexibility while collaborating with global teams.
Key Responsibilities
SailPoint FAM Engineering & Development
- Design, configure, and implement SailPoint File Access Manager (FAM) solutions for enterprise‑scale environments.
- Develop custom connectors, workflows, policies, and automation scripts to support access governance.
- Integrate FAM with identity sources, file systems, cloud storage, and enterprise applications.
- Optimize FAM performance, scalability, and security posture.
Access Governance & Security
- Implement and maintain access certification, entitlement reviews, and least‑privilege models.
- Conduct access risk assessments and support remediation of excessive or inappropriate permissions.
- Collaborate with security teams to align FAM implementations with IAM, Zero Trust, and compliance frameworks.
Integration & Cross‑Platform Support
- Work across diverse platforms including Windows, Linux, NAS devices, cloud storage, and enterprise applications.
- Support integration with IAM platforms, SIEM tools, and data classification systems.
- Participate in system migrations, upgrades, and modernization initiatives involving access governance.
Testing, Validation & Quality Assurance
- Develop and execute test plans for FAM configurations, workflows, and integrations.
- Validate data ingestion, entitlement mapping, and access analytics.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across identity data, file systems, and access policies.
Collaboration & Delivery
- Partner with architects, security engineers, business stakeholders, and compliance teams.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and best‑practice guidance to junior engineers.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in IAM engineering, security engineering, or enterprise software development.
- Extensive hands‑on experience with SailPoint File Access Manager (FAM)—configuration, customization, deployment, and optimization.
- Strong understanding of:
- Access governance and entitlement models
- File system permissions (NTFS, NFS, SMB, SharePoint, cloud storage)
- Identity lifecycle and provisioning processes
- Proficiency in scripting or development languages (PowerShell, Python, Java, or similar).
- Experience working in distributed, cross‑platform enterprise environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, globally distributed team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Banking or Finance environments with regulatory and compliance exposure.
- Familiarity with SailPoint IdentityIQ or other IAM platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud IAM (Azure AD, AWS IAM, GCP IAM).
- Experience with SIEM, DLP, or data classification tools.
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, SailPoint certifications, etc.).
