Project Engineer
Descon has been providing integrated packaging solutions for the food and beverage industries since 1993. Due to sustained growth, we are currently looking for a Project Engineer (AutoCAD) to join our team! This position is a key role in our company that enjoys job autonomy and flexible work capabilities. Responsibilities for the position are outlined below.
Key Accountabilities:
Responsible for creating detailed layout design drawings for automated packaging lines(AutoCAD layout's).
Develop client relationships and clearly articulate our technical capabilities.
Collaborate with all engineering departments to find solutions to complex issues as they arise.
Be able to organize and clearly document project critical information and support documentation (i.e. cross-sections; products; speeds; etc.).
Actively participate in presentations on design/scope changes with clients.
Review customer bid package and specifications to ensure supply requirements.
When applicable, on-site verification of dimensions and detail may be required.
Travel to customer facilities, take detailed measurements, generate layouts in AutoCAD.
Requirements:
Expertise in the beverage or food packaging industry in one or more of the following areas: Project Management; Estimating; Equipment Sourcing; Sales; Design.
Related industry or plant layout design experience using AutoCAD (or equivalent cad software).
Must be personable and have strong communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Experience designing or sourcing industrial mezzanines or equipment would be beneficial.
