Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior People Business Partner, an advanced People strategist and trusted advisor who operates at senior leadership altitude and brings independent judgment, enterprise perspective, and strong executive influence. This position will be partnering with our GET (Growth Experience Technology) organization.

This role is designed for an experienced Senior PBP who goes beyond program execution to shape people strategy, influence leadership decisions, and proactively address complex organizational challenges. You will partner closely with Vice Presidents in a dynamic, global, and evolving business environment, helping leaders translate business strategy into sustainable organizational outcomes.

As a Senior PBP, you will be expected to think ahead of the business, diagnose root causes, frame complex people and organizational issues, and recommend integrated, forward-looking solutions. You will also represent the PBP community in strategic initiatives and help elevate how People & Places work is delivered across the organization.

This role reports to the Senior Director, People Business Partner. This position will be hybrid based in Toronto, Montreal, or Vancouver.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders (VP/SVP level), providing independent perspective, challenge, and counsel on organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and talent strategy

  • Translate business strategy into an integrated people strategy spanning workforce planning, organizational design, leadership capability, talent, and performance

  • Proactively identify emerging organizational risks and opportunities, frame ambiguity and present clear options and trade-offs to leaders

  • Drive and influence established organizational interventions to support business objectives, ensuring solutions are contextually grounded and scalable

  • Anticipate organizational reactions to change and guide leaders through complex transitions with clarity and discipline

  • Partner with leaders to build operating models, structures, and capabilities that enable execution today while preparing for future-state needs

  • Provide executive coaching and consultation to senior leaders, influencing leadership behavior, decision-making, and effectiveness

  • Support leaders through moments of tension, trade-offs, and ambiguity, helping turn disagreement into aligned decisions

  • Elevate leadership capability across performance, talent decisions, and team dynamics

  • Assess current and emerging talent needs; contribute to and shape talent initiatives aligned to business priorities

  • Guide performance, development, and career processes to ensure leadership depth and future readiness

  • Ensure total rewards and recognition approaches are aligned with performance, business outcomes, and organizational values

  • Leverage people and business data to extract meaning, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations

  • Apply strong judgment in selecting the most relevant data to inform decisions without slowing execution

  • Connect people insights to business outcomes, including efficiency, growth capacity, and leadership effectiveness

  • Partner closely with Centers of Excellence (OE, L&D, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Inclusion & Belonging) to address complex or novel business needs

  • Represent the PBP community on strategic, cross-functional initiatives and influence how People & Places solutions are delivered

  • Collaborate with internal partners to support M&A, integration, and other enterprise initiatives as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 10+ years of HR experience, including 7+ years as an HRBP/PBP supporting senior leaders in complex, global environments

  • Expertise across multiple HR disciplines, including: organizational design, talent strategy, workforce planning, performance management, org transformation, executive coaching, employee relations, and change management

  • Ability to influence senior leaders, frame complex organizational problems, and recommend strategic solutions

  • Strong business acumen, including understanding of operating models, organizational structures, and the implications of people decisions on business outcomes

  • Ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to inform decisions and shape leadership thinking

  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and fast-paced, evolving environments

  • Curiosity and appetite to leverage AI and emerging tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Business Administration, Industrial/Labor Relations, or related field

  • Executive or professional coaching accreditation

  • Experience partnering with technology, engineering, or product-driven organizations

  • Demonstrated success operating across matrixed, global organizations

  • Experience influencing or representing People strategy at an enterprise or cross-functional level

Vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec les vice-présidents dans un environnement commercial dynamique, mondial et en constante évolution, en aidant les dirigeants à traduire la stratégie commerciale en résultats organisationnels durables.

En tant que Partenaire senior en ressources humaines, vous devrez anticiper les besoins de l’entreprise, diagnostiquer les causes profondes, cerner les enjeux complexes liés aux ressources humaines et à l’organisation, et recommander des solutions intégrées et tournées vers l’avenir. Vous représenterez également la communauté des Partenaires en ressources humaines dans le cadre d’initiatives stratégiques et contribuerez à améliorer la manière dont les activités « People & Places » sont mises en œuvre à l’échelle de l’organisation.

Ce poste relève du Directeur senior, Partenaire en ressources humaines. Il s’agit d’un poste hybride basé à Toronto, Montréal ou Vancouver.

Responsabilités

  • Agir en tant que conseiller de confiance auprès des hauts dirigeants (niveau VP/SVP), en apportant un point de vue indépendant, en remettant en question les idées reçues et en prodiguant des conseils sur l’efficacité organisationnelle, les capacités de leadership et la stratégie de gestion des talents

  • Traduire la stratégie commerciale en une stratégie RH intégrée couvrant la planification des effectifs, la conception organisationnelle, les capacités de leadership, les talents et la performance

  • Identifier de manière proactive les risques et opportunités organisationnels émergents, clarifier les ambiguïtés et présenter aux dirigeants des options et des compromis clairs

  • Piloter et influencer les interventions organisationnelles mises en place pour soutenir les objectifs commerciaux, en veillant à ce que les solutions soient ancrées dans le contexte et évolutives

  • Anticiper les réactions de l’organisation face au changement et guider les dirigeants à travers des transitions complexes avec clarté et rigueur

  • Collaborer avec les dirigeants pour mettre en place des modèles opérationnels, des structures et des capacités qui permettent l’exécution des tâches actuelles tout en préparant les besoins futurs

  • Fournir un accompagnement et des conseils aux cadres supérieurs, en influençant leur comportement, leur prise de décision et leur efficacité

  • Relier les enseignements tirés des personnes aux résultats de l’entreprise, notamment l’efficacité, la capacité de croissance et l’efficacité du leadership

  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les Centres d’excellence (OE, L&D, Rémunération, Acquisition de talents, Inclusion et Appartenance) pour répondre à des besoins commerciaux complexes ou inédits

  • Représenter la communauté PBP dans le cadre d’initiatives stratégiques et transversales et influencer la manière dont les solutions People & Places sont mises en œuvre

Qualifications Minimales

  • Licence requise

  • Plus de 10 ans d’expérience en RH, dont plus de 7 ans en tant que HRBP/PBP au service de cadres supérieurs dans des environnements complexes et internationaux

  • Expertise dans plusieurs disciplines RH, notamment : conception organisationnelle, stratégie de gestion des talents, planification des effectifs, gestion de la performance, transformation organisationnelle, coaching de cadres, relations avec les employés et gestion du changement

  • Capacité à influencer les cadres supérieurs, à cerner des problèmes organisationnels complexes et à recommander des solutions stratégiques

  • Sens aigu des affaires, y compris une compréhension des modèles opérationnels, des structures organisationnelles et des implications des décisions RH sur les résultats de l’entreprise

  • Capacité à utiliser des données qualitatives et quantitatives pour éclairer les décisions et façonner la réflexion des dirigeants

  • Aisance à travailler dans des environnements ambigus, dynamiques et en constante évolution

  • Curiosité et volonté d’exploiter l’IA et les outils émergents pour améliorer l’efficacité et l’efficience

Qualifications Souhaitées

  • Master en développement organisationnel, administration des affaires, relations industrielles/sociales ou dans un domaine connexe

  • Certification en coaching de cadres ou professionnel

  • Expérience de collaboration avec des organisations axées sur la technologie, l’ingénierie ou les produits

  • Expérience avérée de travail au sein d’organisations matricielles et internationales

  • Expérience dans l’influence ou la représentation de la stratégie RH au niveau de l’entreprise ou de manière transversale
