Adecco is currently hiring a Mechanical Assembler for a full-time opportunity with our client in North Bay & Area. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals with experience in heavy equipment, hydraulic systems, and mechanical assembly who are looking to grow within a hands-on industrial environment.
As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting mechanical and hydraulic components in accordance with engineering specifications. You will play a key role in ensuring products meet strict quality, safety, and performance standards.

Responsibilities- Assemble mechanical components according to engineering drawings and specifications
- Interpret schematics to build and install mechanical and hydraulic systems
- Build, fit, and install prefabricated and purchased components into assemblies
- Assemble hydraulic systems including hose routing, fabrication, and fittings
- Operate pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical tools safely and effectively
- Operate material handling equipment such as overhead and gantry cranes
- Inspect, test, and verify completed assemblies for quality and performance
- Perform minor repairs and modifications to assemblies as required
- Report non-conformances and collaborate with engineering teams on corrective actions
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment following 5S standards
- Follow ISO 9001 quality management and company safety procedures
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, and productivity
- Participate in cross-training and support other departments when required
Requirements- Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
- Enrollment in the 421A Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprenticeship Program (Level 2 or 3 preferred)
- 2-4 years of experience servicing or repairing heavy mobile equipment
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, braking systems, and transmissions
- Experience using diagnostic tools such as scanners, multimeters, and hydraulic testing equipment
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Valid driver's license with ability to operate heavy equipment
- Welding and fabrication experience considered an asset
- Red Seal certification (asset)
- Experience with construction or mining equipment (asset)
- Familiarity with OEM manuals, telematics, and diagnostic systems (asset)
