About the Opportunity

• Collaborate with Finance team members to prepare quarterly financial statements, note disclosures, MD&A, and related analyses and deliverables.
• Prepare consolidation working papers, cash flow support, and documentation for select note disclosures.
• Partner with external auditors, Finance colleagues, and cross?functional teams throughout the annual audit process.
• Prepare month?end reconciliations and journal entries for complex corporate accounting transactions.
• Support technical accounting research, analysis, and preparation of IFRS accounting memos. Monitor new and upcoming accounting standards to ensure compliance and assist with implementation.
• Contribute to the accounting and analysis of significant transactions, acquisitions, and other complex areas, including assessing accounting treatment, performing quantitative impact analysis, and recording entries.
• Complete assigned monthly and quarterly regulatory filings and internal reporting requirements.

About You

• A qualified CPA, CA with 3+ years of progressive work experience in external financial reporting and technical accounting under IFRS, either in industry or from a public accounting firm
• Strong knowledge of IFRS
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and exposure to preparation of external financial statements and MD&A
• External auditing experience from a public accounting firm is required
• Background in or exposure to telecommunications industry considered an asset
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong project management and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities and tight deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• A high degree of integrity and professionalism

Salary Range
$85,000 - $95,000 / year
