About the Role

We are looking for a knowledgeable and industry-experienced instructor to teach in our Business Administration: Accounting & Payroll diploma program. The ideal candidate brings both strong subject matter expertise and a passion for supporting student success in a career-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, practical, and industry-relevant instruction in accounting and payroll courses
• Prepare lesson plans, course materials, and assessments aligned with program outcomes
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback
• Support students in developing job-ready skills (e.g., bookkeeping, payroll processing, compliance)
• Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and academic records
• Stay current with industry trends, payroll legislation, and accounting practices
• Participate in program reviews, curriculum updates, and academic meetings
• Collaborate with Career Services to support student employability

• Financial Accounting
• Payroll Compliance & Legislation (CRA, ESA)

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA designation preferred or in progress)
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant industry experience in accounting and/or payroll
• Experience with Canadian payroll systems and legislation (CRA, WSIB, etc.)
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Excel
• Prior teaching or training experience is an asset
