HireArt is helping our client find a Materials Production Planner to create, execute, and monitor detailed build plans that support overall business goals.
In this role, you’ll maintain version control, manage PP master data that drives SAP MRP system logic, and ensure schedules and priorities are accurate and aligned with operations. You’ll play a key role in keeping production on track while partnering closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in production planning within NPI or high-growth environments.
As a Materials Production Planner, you'll:- Create, maintain, and close production orders in SAP S/4HANA, ensuring accurate due dates, BOM/routing versions, and customer requirements.
- Design, execute, and monitor adherence to the vehicle build plan.
- Create and release work orders to support manufacturing and non-vehicle demand.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders on the status of open or unfulfilled demand.
- Partner with supply planning teams to identify and mitigate material shortages and prevent line disruptions.
- Troubleshoot work orders within MES systems and resolve material transaction or confirmation issues.
- Support continuous process improvement initiatives across planning and operations.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, finance, or a related field
- 6+ years of relevant industry experience
- Direct experience in production planning or master scheduling within a fast-paced NPI environment
- Ability to extract, analyze, and present data to support planning decisions
- Knowledge of inventory management practices and analysis
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle)
Bonus Qualifications:- APICS certification
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA
- A master’s degree in a related field

Commitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be onsite and available to candidates who are local to the Fremont, CA area.
