Application Support Analyst (Intermediate)

Overview:

This role is responsible for providing functional and technical support for trading and front-to-middle office applications within a financial markets environment. The position involves working in a fast-paced, multi-application ecosystem supporting trading activities across global platforms.

The analyst collaborates with business users, development teams, and global support teams to ensure system stability, timely incident resolution, and continuous improvement of application services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve functional and technical issues in a timely manner and escalate when required.

  • Provide support to Sales, Trading, and Front/Middle Office users.

  • Troubleshoot issues across complex, distributed financial systems.

  • Operate effectively in a high-pressure, time-sensitive, and multitasking environment.

  • Manage incident and crisis situations with clear communication to stakeholders and leadership.

  • Deliver functional and technical expertise to support high-quality, maintainable solutions.

  • Document system requirements and maintain support procedures (runbooks).

  • Communicate with users regarding outages, releases, and project updates.

  • Collaborate with global development and support teams across multiple regions.

  • Track and manage incidents in line with SLA requirements.

  • Follow established IT standards, processes, and governance.

  • Provide regular reporting on production and project status.

  • Contribute to DevOps practices in collaboration with development teams.

  • Support release management and deployment activities.

  • Ensure consistent support quality through coordination with global teams.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with end users.

  • Support trade capture and post-trade processing workflows.

  • Work with systems integrated with market platforms and electronic trading channels.

  • Gain exposure to trading execution, order management, and regulatory processes.

  • Support applications deployed across multiple international locations.


Qualifications:

Domain Knowledge:

  • Experience with fixed income products and trading systems.

  • Understanding of financial markets environments.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of derivatives lifecycle processes.

  • Experience with middleware technologies (e.g., messaging systems).

  • Basic networking knowledge.

  • Familiarity with Fixed Income and FX products.

  • Experience working in Agile environments.

  • Experience supporting traders and sales teams.

  • Previous collaboration with developers or business analysts.

  • Prior experience in the financial services industry.


Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in English and French (written and spoken).

  • Ability to communicate effectively with international teams.

Présentation:

Ce poste consiste à fournir un support fonctionnel et technique pour des applications de trading et de front-to-middle office dans un environnement de marchés financiers. Le rôle s’inscrit dans un contexte dynamique et complexe, impliquant plusieurs applications et plateformes à l’échelle internationale.

L’analyste travaille en étroite collaboration avec les utilisateurs métiers, les équipes de développement et les équipes de support globales afin d’assurer la stabilité des systèmes, la résolution rapide des incidents et l’amélioration continue des services applicatifs.

Responsabilités principales:

  • Résoudre les incidents fonctionnels et techniques dans les délais et escalader si nécessaire.

  • Assurer le support aux équipes Sales, Trading et Front/Middle Office.

  • Diagnostiquer des problèmes dans des systèmes financiers complexes et distribués.

  • Travailler efficacement dans un environnement multitâche, sous pression et sensible au temps.

  • Gérer les situations critiques avec une communication claire vers les utilisateurs et le management.

  • Apporter une expertise fonctionnelle et technique pour des solutions robustes et maintenables.

  • Documenter les exigences systèmes et maintenir les procédures de support (runbooks).

  • Informer les utilisateurs des incidents, mises en production et évolutions projets.

  • Collaborer avec des équipes globales de support et de développement.

  • Suivre les incidents conformément aux SLA définis.

  • Respecter les normes, प्रक्रेसus et standards IT en vigueur.

  • Fournir des reportings réguliers sur la production et les projets.

  • Contribuer aux pratiques DevOps en collaboration avec les équipes de développement.

  • Participer aux activités de gestion des releases.

  • Assurer un support cohérent avec les équipes internationales.

  • Maintenir de bonnes relations avec les utilisateurs finaux.

  • Supporter les processus de trade capture et post-trade.
