Systems Engineer (Senior)

Overview:

This role focuses on designing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise infrastructure systems, with a strong emphasis on email platforms, security, and identity services. The Senior Systems Engineer plays a key role in ensuring operational stability, leading complex engineering initiatives, and supporting strategic technology objectives.

The position involves collaboration across technical teams and stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions in a global environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to deliver projects and resolve issues effectively
Participate in on-call rotations and provide out-of-hours support when required
Manage the full lifecycle of engineering initiatives, from design to implementation and support
Perform advanced system configuration, development, and optimization tasks
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues using best practices and industry standards
Support product and project teams by analyzing requirements and producing technical specifications
Continuously improve processes, procedures, and system performance
Document system architectures, workflows, and operational procedures
Maintain accurate system inventories and technical records

Qualifications:

Experience & Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
10+ years of relevant experience, including senior-level project involvement

Technical Skills:

Core Skills:

Strong experience with secure email gateways and messaging security platforms (e.g., Cisco IronPort; other solutions are a plus)
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft email platforms (Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, Exchange Server)
Deep understanding of email security standards and controls (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, anti-spam, anti-malware)
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and command-line tools
Strong experience with identity and access management technologies (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, ADFS, identity federation, SSO)
Experience managing Windows Server environments (2016/2019 or later)
Familiarity with virtualization, infrastructure appliances, and standard server engineering tools
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities
Experience with IT service management tools and processes (incident, change management)

Additional Assets:

Experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure services (e.g., Azure IaaS)
Exposure to system integration in large-scale transformation or merger contexts
Experience in regulated or enterprise environments

Ingénieur Systèmes (Senior)

Présentation:

Ce poste consiste à concevoir, maintenir et optimiser des infrastructures IT d’entreprise, avec un focus particulier sur les plateformes de messagerie, la sécurité et les services d’identité. L’ingénieur systèmes senior joue un rôle clé dans la stabilité opérationnelle, la conduite de projets complexes et le support des objectifs technologiques stratégiques.

Le rôle implique une collaboration étroite avec différentes équipes techniques et métiers afin de fournir des solutions fiables, sécurisées et évolutives dans un environnement global.

Responsabilités principales:

Collaborer avec les équipes et parties prenantes pour assurer la réussite des projets et la résolution des incidents
Participer à des rotations d’astreinte et assurer un support hors horaires si nécessaire
Gérer le cycle de vie complet des projets d’ingénierie (conception, déploiement, support)
Réaliser des tâches avancées de configuration, développement et optimisation des systèmes
Diagnostiquer et résoudre des problèmes techniques complexes selon les meilleures pratiques
Accompagner les équipes projets dans l’analyse des besoins et la rédaction de spécifications techniques
Améliorer en continu les processus, procédures et performances des systèmes
Documenter les architectures, flux et procédures opérationnelles
Maintenir des inventaires systèmes précis et à jour

Profil recherché:

Expérience & Formation :

Diplôme universitaire en informatique, ingénierie ou domaine connexe
Plus de 10 ans d’expérience pertinente, incluant des responsabilités de niveau senior

Compétences techniques:

Compétences principales :

Expérience avancée avec des solutions de sécurité de messagerie (ex. passerelles sécurisées)
Maîtrise des plateformes de messagerie Microsoft (Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, Exchange Server)
Excellente compréhension des mécanismes de sécurité des emails (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, anti-spam, anti-malware)
Maîtrise du scripting PowerShell et des outils en ligne de commande
Solide expérience des systèmes d’identité et d’accès (Active Directory, GPO, DNS, ADFS, fédération d’identité, SSO)
