Job Description
WHAT'S THE JOB?
Reporting to the Quality & Sustainability Manager, the main duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Receive, organize, store, and track incoming and outgoing mails and packages
- Implement Check incoming deliveries to make sure all ordered material meets quality standards
- Load and unload packages
- Organize stock in the most efficient way
- Pull material to fulfil orders properly
- Wrap some packages and place them on skids for delivery
- Monitor inventory levels for hazardous waste supplies and suggest new orders when needed
- Document orders, materials and any stock movements
- Ensure to strictly follow safe handling of mail and packages policies and procedures are followed
- Set up training rooms in accordance with clients’ needs and requirements. Ensure training room set up is updated and close out tasks when they are done
- Attend to any furniture moving requests from clients
- Ensure material handling tasks are responded and completed on time
Qualifications
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Proven experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate or similar position
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Familiarity with voice picking systems or two-way radio device
- Experience in using warehouse equipment (e.g. pump trucks, pallet jacks)
- Strong communication skills
- Dexterity and attention to detail
- Organizational skills and Reliable, organized and dependable
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job and ability moderate to heavy lifting
- High school diploma
