POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Director & Assistant Controller will provide high level support to the VP Controller as they manage the company’s accounting and financial activities to include the accurate preparation of the company’s financial statements, the month-end closing process, coordinating the annual financial audit, preparing key financial metrics, and mentoring staff. This role will have significant exposure to senior management.

The successful candidate for this position will need unquestionable ethics, strong managerial, analytical and system skills, a partnership orientation for working with business colleagues and drive value creation. Must be energetic, outgoing strategic thinker who enjoys leading teams, comfortable speaking her/his mind, passionate about accounting and willing to check their ego at the door. They will have strong business process experience, be entrepreneurial, self-motivated, self-directed person who is adaptable and flexible to respond to a host of different challenges. Must have experience working with high entrepreneurial and autonomous operating teams, must have very strong persuasive and leadership skills.
He/she must have very strong communication skills, an approachable personality, organized but able to function in an ambiguous and fast paced environment, manage multiple projects, change priorities when needed, and be action oriented.
The successful candidate must have the ability to prioritize complex objectives, with decision criteria. He/she must be able to interact with all levels of management. Must be professional in appearance and conduct with both employees and customers.
