Responsibilities
-Manage and supervise all warehouse staff including shipping, production, and inventory positions.
-Lead, coach, and cultivate a supportive and respectful environment
-Empower team members and foster teamwork and collaboration
-Manage recruiting, on-boarding, training, and retention with an emphasis on accountability, effective teamwork, and team cooperation
-Cultivate diversity and inclusion as an important aspect of the work environment by supporting new ideas and different perspectives, promoting cross-cultural awareness, and creating a safe environment for all people
-In collaboration with divisional leadership, establish yearly operating budgets, quarterly business reforecasts, and financial branch performance analysis
-Monitor business volumes to ensure all aspects of fulfillment are handled on time, correctly and cost-effectively
-Determine cost effective logistics agreements, planning and shipping methods for branch territories
-Participate in head office/Sales meetings to review business volumes and provide operational insight
-Participate in other duties and special projects as required to support the business
Assets
-5-7 years’ experience working as a General Manager
-Good leadership, communication, and organizational skills
-Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
-Knowledge of AS400 and Salesforce (or similar CRM system), an asset
-Knowledge of Oracle Transportation or similar, an asset
