Duties:
Teach all aspects of theory and practical skills required for the Heavy Mechanical Trades Foundation and Apprenticeship Programs. Ensure program standards are maintained, prepare and develop course material as appropriate, maintain and submit student evaluation and grading. Work in a team approach to deliver both classroom and practical objectives in shop operations while promoting safety standards as a priority.
Candidates must demonstrate commitment to teaching, learning, and student success. Successful candidates will participate in activities outside the classroom including student support and department committees.
Required Qualifications:
Heavy Duty or Truck and Transport Interprovincial Trade Qualification plus 10 years recent experience working in the trade as a journey person.
