About This Opportunity
The Inventory Control Distribution Supervisor manages the inventory area, supervising unionized associates. They are responsible for reconciling inventory reports within the SAP database, reconciling all loads, and the tracking and reporting of breakages, damages, and losses to appropriate parties. They also monitor and address out of stock risk and report on daily out of stock inventory and materials to the appropriate management party.

Responsibilities
- Supervise the control management of inventory processes.
- Supervise inventory personnel - Staff, train, evaluate and develop team members.
- Supervise the daily inventory activities.
- Schedule inventory team members to meet the demands of the facility.
- Assist and maintain product loss controls.
- Follow company repack process for return product and/or damage.
- Review, monitor and address full goods inventory level to minimize potential out of stock risk to sales.
- Reconcile all loads and track/report breakage, damage, and loss (BDL) data.
- Support shipping and receiving functions as applicable.
- Manage within labour and Operating Expense (OPEX) budgets
- Develops transportation schedules for IPT drivers and ensures full compliance with the transportation plan.
- Coordinates equipment availability (trailers, tractors, shunters) and reports maintenance or capacity issues
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize routes, processes, and productivity.
- Ensures compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and transportation laws.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
- Post secondary education in a related field an asset.
- 1-3 years work experience.
- Previous experience with inventory and/or warehouse administration is preferred, including inventory audits.
- Previous experience leading or managing a team in a unionized environment an asset.
- Strong computer database skills, including Word, Excel, and SAP database.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Ability to work in conjunction with production, finance, and other functional teams in a professional manner.
