AP Analyst - 3 Month Contract

About the Opportunity
Accounts Payable (Full Cycle)

• Manage full-cycle AP processing including invoice intake, coding, approvals, and payment processing
• Review invoices for accuracy, appropriate authorization, and compliance with company policies
• Maintain vendor master data and ensure proper documentation (e.g., contracts, tax forms)
• Prepare and process electronic payments (EFTs, wires) and cheque runs
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain strong vendor relationships

• Record and reconcile daily transactions in the general ledger
• Assist with accruals, prepaids, and expense allocations
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data in the ERP system
• Support internal controls and audit requirements related to AP and expenses

• Assist in month-end and quarter-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Prepare AP aging reports and investigate variances
• Support financial reporting by ensuring AP-related balances are accurate and complete
• Collaborate with the broader finance team to meet reporting deadlines

• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for AP and accounting functions
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within AP workflows
• Support system upgrades, testing, and documentation of procedures

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2–5 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting, preferably within a financial institution
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or similar ERP systems)
• Strong understanding of full-cycle AP and accounting principles
• Experience with month-end and quarter-end close processes
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay Range:
$30 $34 per hour
