Job title: SAP Application and Material Inventory Support Analyst

Location: Markham, ON. (Onsite) Payrate: CAD$30 to CAD$34 per hour Position Summary The SAP Application and Material Inventory Support Analyst is responsible for supporting day to day material and inventory processes in SAP. This role works closely with Engineering, operations, warehouse, and planning teams to ensure accurate stock, timely material movements, and effective issue resolution in SAP.
Key Responsibilities 1. SAP Inventory & Material Movements - Creation of Panel Part Number in SAP
- Extend the Panel Part Number between SAP instances
- Populate bill of materials in SAP
- Creation of Material Part Numbers in SAP
- Coordination with purchaser and manufacturing operations regarding SAP BOM
3. Inventory Accuracy & Stock Control - Support cycle counts and annual/periodic physical inventory of on hand Material vs SAP.
- Analyze stock discrepancies and work with warehouse/production to identify root causes.
- Use standard SAP reports (e.G., stock overview, material documents) to monitor inventory levels and movements.
4. User Support & Issue Resolution - Provide first line support for SAP inventory and material-related issues.
- Investigate and resolve user errors, incorrect postings, and basic system errors.
- Log and track incidents in the ticketing system, escalating complex issues to senior SAP/IT teams when necessary.
5. Process Support & Continuous Improvement - Support standard operating procedures (SOPs) for SAP inventory and material handling.
- Identify recurring issues and propose improvements to processes or master data.
- Participate in testing of small changes or enhancements related to SAP inventory (e.G., new movement types, new locations).
6. Training & Documentation - Provide “how to”guidance to warehouse, production, and planning users on SAP material/inventory transactions.
- Create and maintain user guides, quick reference documents, and FAQs.
- Support onboarding of new users for inventory-related SAP processes.
