The primary responsibility of the Outside Sales Representative will be to actively participate in the sales process to facilitate and close equipment sales. The representative will support the specialized contractors assigned to them, select HVAC equipment, and assist the sales team from the preliminary design phase through to the completion of the project. The incumbent will also be responsible for proactively promoting the company and all the products it represents in the HVAC-R industry.
What you will accomplish with us:
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key industry players (specialized contractors, mechanical engineering firms, developers, engineers).
• Promote the mechanical solutions offered by the Master Group (equipment, ventilation, heating).
• Serve as Master’s technical point of contact for major market projects.
• Regularly visit clients, construction sites, and mechanical rooms to understand on-site challenges.
• Quickly identify risks, opportunities, and potential optimizations.
• Analyze mechanical plans, estimates, and designs.
• Assess the technical and commercial viability of projects to guide clients toward the best HVAC-R solutions.
• Participate in conceptual phases when required.
• Select complex equipment for commercial and industrial projects.
• Lead and coach the internal support and estimating team.
• Ensure technical alignment between internal teams and market needs.
• Be involved in the entire sales process.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction while developing long-term relationships.
• Ensure that every project reflects the quality, expertise, and standards of the Master Group.
What You Bring to Our Team:
• 5+ years of experience in HVAC-R, building services engineering, estimating, mechanical project management, or technical consultative sales.
• Advanced knowledge of building services engineering (psychrometry, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics).
• Excellent ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Professional, clear, and structured communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Bilingual in French and English (frequent interactions with national teams).
• Proficiency in managing accounts for specialized contractors.
• Ability to select equipment, prepare bids, and create technical drawings as needed.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong leadership, and ability to mobilize other technical professionals.
• Advanced analytical skills and ability to advocate for technical recommendations to experienced clients.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
• Proven talent for planning, organizing, and time management in a demanding technical environment.
• Autonomy, initiative, and sound judgment to make informed decisions.
• Excellent proficiency in reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
• Proficiency in drafting proposals and technical documents.
• Openness to learning new tools (manufacturing software, CRM, inventory systems).
