Test Engineer - Pharma in
Burlington, ON (On-site).Responsibilities:- Develop a strong understanding of explicit and implicit software/system requirements.
- Create test cases and test plans based on requirements, specifications, and release schedules.
- Review tests, user stories, and specifications for system-level testability and provide feedback.
- Execute test cases during development and support formal product verification.
- Identify and log defects with clear details for reproduction and resolution.
- Assess and prioritize defects based on severity and impact.
- Track and drive resolution of software and system issues.
- Document and monitor test outcomes and define corrective actions.
- Analyze current technologies and improve testing processes.
- Maintain detailed, effective, and well-structured test documentation and reports.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biological, Physical, or Natural Sciences (or related field), or equivalent experience.
- 0–3 years of professional experience in commercial systems or software testing.
- Knowledge or experience in biology or related sciences; flow cytometry experience is an asset.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools and their implementation, including Ranorex, is preferred.
- Understanding of systems and software integration testing.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes of defects.
- Working knowledge of software testing concepts, systematic testing approaches, and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Demonstrated risk-based mindset when evaluating and communicating test results and defects.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and lead testing of individual components as well as fully integrated systems.
- Salary: CAD $–$ per hour (depending on experience).
