As a Data Science Specialist reporting to the Head of Product Marketing,you'llplay a meaningful role in transforming proprietary financial crime data into strategic insights thatdemonstratethe value of NasdaqVerafin'sfraud detection and anti-money laundering solutions.
You'llthrive in this position ifyou'reanalytical, strategic, and passionate about using data to fight financial crime while enabling business growth in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze client deployment data to quantify solution ROI, measuring fraud losses prevented, efficiency gains, and investigation time saved.
Leverage consortium data from 2,700+ financial institutions to produce industry benchmark reports and peer performance comparisons.
Partner with sales and marketing teams to create data-driven customer success stories, case studies, and presentation materials thatdemonstrateproduct effectiveness.
Monitor aggregated data toidentifyemerging fraud trends and money laundering patterns, translating findings into thought leadership content.
Present analytical insights to customers and stakeholders in executive briefings, quarterly business reviews, and industry conferences.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's orMaster's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of experience in data science or analytics roles, ideally in fraud detection, AML, banking, or fintech.
Strongproficiencyin SQL and Python (or R) for data analysis and visualization.
Excellent communication skills with proven ability to translate complex findings into compelling narratives for non-technical audiences.
Collaborative mindset with experience working across marketing, sales, and product teams in a matrixed environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Deep knowledge of financial crime concepts, fraud detection methodologies, and AML compliance.
Experience withbig-dataframeworks (e.g., Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS).
Background in creating executive-level reports, white papers, or thought leadership content.
