Job description

Job Description: Facilities Services Customer Center Operator

Working Hours:

Shift-based schedule (e.g., 7:00am–7:00pm, 7:00pm–7:00am, or 8:00am–4:00pm).

Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

This is a 24/7/365 environment with rotating shifts and possible on-call requirements.

Note: This is an on-site hospital role (not remote).

Job Summary:

Provides front-line customer service and dispatch support for facility maintenance operations in a hospital setting. Handles service requests via phone, email, and web, and ensures timely creation and dispatch of work orders. Works in a fast-paced, service-focused dispatch center and is measured on performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn service request and work order management systems, telephony systems, and operating procedures
  • Receive and handle inbound service requests
  • Create and dispatch work orders to internal teams and external vendors
  • Assign priority levels to requests for timely resolution
  • Communicate with technicians, facility managers, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot basic service issues
  • Provide clear and professional customer service
  • Conduct overhead paging announcements (requires clear verbal communication)
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information
  • Participate in team initiatives and training
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members (if required)
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements:

Education:

  • High school diploma plus a technical or business-related course

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

Skills:

  • Strong English communication (verbal and written)
  • Clear pronunciation and speaking skills
  • Customer service-oriented mindset
  • Ability to multitask (typing while speaking)
  • Basic computer proficiency and system navigation skills

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced dispatch center
  • Performance-driven with service metrics
  • Requires flexibility and adaptability
