Job description

Être un.e auxiliaire de laboratoire à la SOPFIM, c’est analyser des échantillons pour le plus grand programme de protection des forêts au monde ! Plus qu’un.e auxiliaire, deviens un.e protecteur.trice de la forêt !

Responsabilités :

En collaboration avec le chargé de projet au service des relevés, l’auxiliaire de laboratoire assure le traitement des échantillons de branche.

Vos défis au sein de l’équipe :

  • Déterminer l’âge larvaire de la tordeuse des bourgeons de l’épinette ;
  • Effectuer le dénombrement de larves ;
  • Évaluer la défoliation sur les bourgeons annuels et les pousses antérieures ;
  • Compléter et vérifier les différents formulaires numériques de compilation des échantillons.

Rémunération et conditions de travail offertes par la SOPFIM :

  • Emploi d’une durée de 11 à 13 semaines (mi-mai à la mi-août) ;
  • Un taux horaire de 24,03 $ ;
  • Horaire de travail de 40 h par semaine ;
  • Possibilité de temps supplémentaire en période de pointe.

L’échelle de traitement du poste d’Auxiliaire de laboratoire correspond à celle prévue pour la classe d’emploi 200 de la convention collective de la SOPFIM.

Exigences requises par le poste :

  • Formation professionnelle en cours ou complétée dans un domaine jugé pertinent en lien avec les attributions de l’emploi ;
  • Posséder une bonne dextérité manuelle.

Aptitudes recherchées :

  • Respecter soigneusement et entièrement les procédures et les méthodes de travail prescrites ;
  • Être consciencieux et s'attarder aux détails afin d'accomplir un travail précis et exempt d'erreurs ;
  • Être méthodique et s'assurer que les choses soient planifiées, structurées et organisées.
