Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing and implementing front end code including user interface interactions and creating attractive and effective user interfaces
  
• Required to translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications. This includes developing detailed programming specifications, writing and/or generating code, compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests.
  
• Resolve and troubleshoot technical problems which arise during the use and operation of software packages, including technical assistance in implementation, conversion and migrations
  

Required Skills:

• In-depth understanding and hands-on experience of Core JavaScript
  
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of the Angular framework and UX concepts
  
• Extensive hands-on experience with Angular, Bootstrap, HTML 5, JavaScript, SCSS and Node.js
  
• Thorough knowledge of web markup, HTML 5, CSS, Bootstrap and UX concepts.
  
• Hands-on experience with RESTful API integration.
  
• Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards
  
• Understanding of modern architectural practices for cloud-based solutions.
  
• Proven experience applying software engineering best practices and architectural practices to agile product delivery.
  
• Extensive experience with building complex, API-based solutions and transactional systems.
  
• Experience with code version control systems (e.g. Git), DevOps practices, cloud delivery / deployment models, virtualization, and container solutions
  
• Experience with writing automated test scripts for unit, integration and end-to-end testing
  
• Deep knowledge of common authentication technologies, browser-based security controls, and standard web application security tools.
  
• Actively contributed to all phases of software development life cycle (particularly focusing on agile methodologies).
  
• Experience eliciting and documenting information from diverse business area stakeholders and subject matter experts
  
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills

• Experience with tools like Redux, Webpack or Angular CLI
  
• Must have experience with consuming SOAP and RESTful APIs

• Experience with testing framework, e.g. Jasmine
