Reporting to the Corporate Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for all human resource activities in the areas of recruitment, benefits administration, training and development and assisting in employee relations. The Human Resources Coordinator guides and consults with management and employees on the interpretation and administration of human resources’ policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
HUMAN RESOURCES:
- Ensures that all biweekly payroll, benefit paperwork, new hire documents and termination documents are completed and forwarded to HR Manager and Payroll as well as maintaining all payroll records for support and reference
- Maintains and updates the HRIS system with employee information, timesheet accuracy, training documents, and employee absenteeism and ERP system
- Supports full cycle recruitment activities which includes (but is not limited to): development of job descriptions, collection of ATH (Authorization to Hire Form) as well interviewing candidates alongside the hiring manager
- Conducts new employee orientations and onboarding with all new employees
- Conducts annual employee surveys and facilitate open forums
- Updates metrics for monthly MRM meetings
- Works with managers to develop training plans for all employees
- Investigate and source out appropriate training; implements training programs to raise overall level of competency
- Leads the Health, Safety & Accessibility Meeting
- Manages the social committee budget

- Performs daily walkthrough of the facility

- Ensures the Company’s quality policies and procedures are followed
- Participates in Quality Audits as required
TEAM BUILDING:
- Participates in 1X1 meetings with the HR Manager.
- Champions RESPECT code of behaviour.
- Controls and documents 1X1 meetings, annual performance reviews
- Leads the Social Committee and manages all work events
- Coordinates and participates in monthly business update
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT:
- Continually challenges the status quo and identify ways to improve process and efficiency within role, department and company
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1-3 years of experience in an HR Assistant/Coordinator role supporting all areas of the business
- 1 – 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment an asset
- 1- 3 years of experience and thorough knowledge of B.C Employment Standards Act, WCB, Human Rights Code, Labour Relations Act, Pay Equity Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act and ability to provide advice to clients on the application of these acts
- 1 – 3 years of experience in the maintenance and updates of the HRIS system with employee information, timesheet accuracy, training documents, and employee absenteeism and ERP system
- Diploma in Human Resources Management
- Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is an asset
- Accuracy and confidentiality is a must
- Demonstrated knowledge of human resources management practices
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work, sometimes with conflicting priorities. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail, being organized and a positive team player
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
- Good judgement, strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision.

- Ability to conduct training and create presentations
HOURS
- 8:00 m – 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday
