Instructional Designer (eLearning)

Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite (Waterloo, ON)

Duration: Contract (long-term, potential for extension/conversion)

Overview:

Seeking an Instructional Designer to support development of engaging e-learning solutions within a corporate learning environment. This role will focus on designing and delivering learner-centered content while managing multiple projects and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop interactive e-learning content using adult learning principles
• Conduct needs assessments and translate business requirements into learning solutions
• Collaborate with SMEs and internal teams to develop effective training programs
• Manage multiple concurrent projects (5–7 at a time) with clear timelines and deliverables
• Apply accessibility standards and evaluate training effectiveness through feedback and data
• Support continuous improvement of learning strategies and content

Must-Haves:

• 2–3+ years of instructional design experience
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and design frameworks (e.g., ADDIE)
• Experience developing e-learning content
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with Articulate (Rise) and Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience within financial services or enterprise environments
• Bilingual (English/French)
