Instructional Designer (eLearning)
Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite (Waterloo, ON)
Duration: Contract (long-term, potential for extension/conversion)
Overview:
Seeking an Instructional Designer to support development of engaging e-learning solutions within a corporate learning environment. This role will focus on designing and delivering learner-centered content while managing multiple projects and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop interactive e-learning content using adult learning principles
- Conduct needs assessments and translate business requirements into learning solutions
- Collaborate with SMEs and internal teams to develop effective training programs
- Manage multiple concurrent projects (5–7 at a time) with clear timelines and deliverables
- Apply accessibility standards and evaluate training effectiveness through feedback and data
- Support continuous improvement of learning strategies and content
Must-Haves:
- 2–3+ years of instructional design experience
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and design frameworks (e.g., ADDIE)
- Experience developing e-learning content
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with Articulate (Rise) and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience within financial services or enterprise environments
- Bilingual (English/French)
