The PhotoLab Operations Supervisor is responsible for PhotoLab process efficiencies, PhotoLab financial performance, and team development. This role ensures maintenance is recorded, checklists are followed and software is reviewed and updated to drive sales growth and profitability across the retail network.
This is a leadership role requiring someone who develops process efficiencies, mentor PhotoLab teams, and ensure maintenance and efficient workflows to achieve financial objectives and enhance customer shopping experience.

Additional Responsibilities:Team Leadership & Development: - Coach and lead troubleshooting of PhotoLab equipment (including but not limited to film processors, printers, presses)
- Establish performance objectives for PPLH (Production per Labour Hour) and monitor to ensure effective use of payroll hours (including mandatory Photo Counter coverage)
- Ensure quality and service levels within the PhotoLab through training, mentoring, and skill development
- Foster a culture of customer focus and financial discipline
- Provide resource support during peak times (Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas)
Strategy & Planning: - Ensure the two main pillars (quality and speed of service) are the focus of PhotoLab
- Drive sales growth and margin improvement
- Share insights with Manager, PhotoLab Operations on long-range financial plans including sales, margin, and payroll targets
- Review seasonal displays and events to ensure timely execution
- Evaluate and test new products
Financial Management & Performance: - Monitor sales, margin, payroll, and profitability in all PhotoLabs
- Monitor financial performance for assigned locations and take corrective action to address
Industry Relationships: - Attend major trade shows and industry events to identify trends and discover new products
- Stay current on industry developments, competitive activities, and emerging companies
PhotoLab Workflow: - Review and approve blueprints and lab layouts
- Evaluate productivity and make decisions on item additions, deletions, and replacements
Cross-Functional Collaboration: - Align with the Manager, PhotoLab Operations and Business Unit Manager, TECH on event strategies
- Work with Marketing on promotional campaigns
- Engage with Store Operations on efficiencies, quality review and effective merchandising
- Influence senior leadership through data-driven recommendations

EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE:Required Qualifications: - Proven track record of leadership with demonstrated success driving sales growth and payroll control
- Deep PhotoLab expertise with strong product knowledge and understanding of customer needs and market dynamics
- Strong financial acumen with ability to manage sales goals, payroll targets and driving sales
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable presenting to senior leadership and to PhotoLab Managers
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with PhotoLab operation and procedures
- Familiarity with data-driven decision-making
- Background in physical retail
