Location: 3400 Pharmacy Ave, Scarborough, ON M1W 3J8 (Pharmacy Ave & McNicoll Ave)
Pay Rate: $18.25/hour
Employment Type: Temporary / Ongoing (based on performance and client needs)
Start Date: ASAP
Job Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Sewer to join our client’s production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sewing bags and slings using heavy-duty materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires hands-on experience with industrial sewing machines and a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate industrial sewing machines, including:
* Single needle machine
* Surging (overlock/serger) machine
* Walking foot machine (REQUIRED)
* Sew bags, slings, and heavy-duty materials as per specifications
* Handle thick and heavy materials with precision
* Read and interpret work orders, production sheets, and patterns
* Ensure accuracy, alignment, and durability of stitching
* Inspect finished products and maintain quality standards
* Perform basic machine adjustments (threading, tension, needle changes)
* Maintain a clean and organized workstation
* Meet daily production targets and deadlines
* Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Shift Details
Monday to Friday
9:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Additional Requirements
* Must bring own lunch, snacks, and drinks (if applicable)
* Must be punctual and reliable
* Must follow all onboarding and safety procedures
* Steel-toe shoes or PPE may be required
