About the position

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Production Planner is responsible for collaborating with operations to schedule and coordinate the production of materials. If you are looking for a challenging role in a team-orientated environment this is the job for you!

What you’ll do:

• Manage the Univar produced/packaged product portfolio for the Guelph location to schedule timely production of materials to maintain stock levels and meet customer requirements
• Analyze options to optimize production schedule and prevent service level failures
• Review out of stock situations regarding production materials and efficiently provide options to internal stakeholders to remedy situation
• Assist in identifying and providing solutions for aged, quarantined, or off spec material
• Plan the purchase of empty packaging from outside vendors to support the produced/packaged portfolio
• Manage purchases of vendor packaged materials inventoried and sold from the Guelph location
• Support and back-up Supply and Production Planners for other Ontario plants as needed.
• Various projects as required

What you’ll need:

• Post-secondary degree
• 2 years of relevant work experience
• Proficiency in MS office applications
• SAP software experience preferred

Pay and Benefits:

This position is currently vacant. The annual expected salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location
