We are seeking a hands-on, working Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role is highly involved on the floor and requires a leader who actively participates in day-to-day tasks while overseeing team performance, inventory accuracy, and workflow efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and experienced operating equipment, with the ability to lead by example both inside the warehouse and in the outdoor yard.
Location: Acheson, AB
Salary: $58,000 – $62,000 annually
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and actively participate in all warehouse operations, including inventory control, shipping/receiving, workflow, and safety
- Lead from the floor as a working supervisor, supporting the team with hands-on tasks daily
- Operate equipment including sit-down counterbalance forklift and reach truck
- Perform and support outdoor yard work as required, including material handling and organization
- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations
- Support invoicing processes by ensuring all picking, shipping, and receiving activities are properly recorded and validated
- Lead, train, and develop warehouse staff, including coaching and performance management
- Manage disciplinary actions and ensure compliance with company policies
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and yard environment in line with health and safety standards
- Optimize warehouse layout, space utilization, and material handling processes
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure efficient flow of goods
- Pick, pack, weigh, and label outgoing shipments to ensure accurate and secure delivery
- Lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs as required
Qualifications & Key Skills:
- Strong experience with inventory management, including cycle counts, reconciliation, and maintaining high levels of accuracy
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of warehouse duties, processes, and best practices across shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with trucking vendors, carriers, and customers
- Highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy to reduce errors and improve operational efficiency
- Demonstrated ability to drive productivity and optimize manpower utilization
- Valid forklift certification with experience operating: Sit-down counterbalance; Reach truck
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to support and guide team members on the floor
