Job Title: General Laborer – Picker/PackerJob DescriptionThis role focuses on supporting warehouse and production operations by accurately picking and packing spare parts orders, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. You will work as part of a small, collaborative warehouse team to ensure orders are processed efficiently and materials are handled safely and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Pick and pack spare parts orders accurately and efficiently according to work orders and shipping requirements.
- Use a tow motor to move skids and materials safely within the warehouse and production areas.
- Stock inventory shelves, ensuring items are stored in the correct locations and organized for easy access.
- Assist with general cleaning and housekeeping tasks around the warehouse and production areas to maintain a safe and tidy environment.
- Operate RF scanners to track inventory, verify order details, and update stock levels in the system.
- Work closely with warehouse team members to coordinate daily tasks and support smooth workflow.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when lifting, moving, and handling materials, including loads up to 50 lbs.
- Communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors to report issues, clarify instructions, and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
Essential Skills- 3–5 years of warehouse experience in a similar general laborer, picker, or packer role.
- Proficiency using RF scanners for picking, packing, and inventory management.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly during the workday.
- Strong communication skills with a positive, cooperative attitude.
- Comfort working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with a small team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- CB forklift license is an asset.
- Experience operating an overhead crane is an asset.
- Familiarity with tow motor operation in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Attention to detail when handling orders and inventory.
- Reliable work habits and willingness to assist with a variety of warehouse and cleaning tasks.

Work Environment
You will work in an average-sized manufacturing facility with a smaller, dedicated warehouse area as part of a team of around five people. The role requires frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs and active movement throughout the warehouse and production areas. Standard safety practices and appropriate work attire for a manufacturing and warehouse environment are expected. Benefits include insurance coverage starting after a three-month probationary period—covering dental, vision, and drug at 80%—with monthly employee contributions and a $700 annual wellness spending allowance. A pension plan offers a 3% employer match after one year and a 5% match after five years.
