You will work underground in a fast-paced setting, ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime to support production goalswhileworking safely and efficiently.Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate underground mechanics to meet maintenance targets.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy mining equipment (jumbos, bolters, scoops, haul trucks).
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Communicate with supervisors and planners to prioritize repairs and parts ordering.
- Train and mentor mechanics to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.
- Ensure compliance with Dumasand site-specificsafety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Participate in workplace inspections and hazard assessments.
Qualifications:
- Valid Red Seal/Journeyman License in a Mechanic trade along with5+ years of heavy-duty mechanic experience, with proven leadership experience.
- Basic Underground Common Core is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent safety record and commitment to safe work practices.
