The Role

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack AI Engineer to design, build, and operate cloud-native applications with integrated AI capabilities. You will own end-to-end delivery across React (frontend) and Node.js / Python FastAPI (backend) in a high-impact team, contributing to architecture, standards, and production systems. You'll be reporting to the Principal AI Architect in Tundra's AI & Innovation team.

• Build and own features end-to-end across React, Node.js, and FastAPI.
• Design microservices and REST APIs, including AI-enabled endpoints.
• Integrate and work with AI/LLM services.
• Define frontend architecture (state, performance, accessibility).
• Make backend architecture decisions, including Node vs Python selection.
• Ensure systems are secure, scalable, and reliable.
• Own delivery lifecycle: Dev → QA → Staging → Production (deployments, rollbacks, hotfixes).
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, environments, and secrets management.
• Enforce coding standards, API contracts, and testing practices.
• Review code, unblock teammates, and shape technical solutions.
• Mentor junior resources on the team and set them up for success.

Who You Are

• You have strong experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• You have backend experience with Node.js and Python FastAPI.
• You are experienced with microservices and REST APIs.
• You have a solid understanding of web security, authentication, and system design.
• You are experienced with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• You have hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP acceptable).
• You are familiar with Docker, CI/CD, and cloud-native development.
• You are experienced with writing unit and integration tests.

The salary range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $125,000 - $155,000.
