As École Broxton Park School continues to evolve its programming to meet the needs of a growing community, the successful candidate will provide essential leadership in:
- Fostering a Bilingual Environment: Supporting and enhancing the French Immersion track through instructional leadership and community engagement.
- K-9 Pedagogical Leadership: Navigating the unique developmental needs of students ranging from early years through the transition to high school.
- Collaborative Culture: Strengthening the "Panther" spirit by supporting a dedicated staff and maintaining a safe, caring, and welcoming school climate.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Providing leadership to teaching teams to support the development of engaging learning environments, including effective assessment practices that drive student growth.
- Collaborating with staff, parents, and students to deliver quality programs responsive to the school community.
- Supporting school routines and business procedures to ensure a safe, caring, and fiscally responsible environment.
- Working as a member of the administrative team to maintain a positive school culture and a sense of community.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Education (completed or in-progress) and a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate.
- Certification (achieved, in progress, or willing to complete) is an asset.
- A commitment to supporting First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students and leading educational change for meaningful reconciliation.
- A track record of exemplary teaching and a commitment to a distributed decision-making model.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills.
Fluent in both English and French (written and oral) is a requirement for this site-specific role.
