Currently, we have an opening for a Server Team Manager. Reporting to the Director of Engineering and R&D, the Server Team Manager will be responsible for leading a team of software developers to implement technologically advanced software for the Mining Industry. The Server Team Manageris responsible for the design implementation of the Optimine MDP software product as well as all software tools. She or He is also responsible for the high-level system architecture of the integrated solutions with the devices.

What you will be doing

• Lead a team of developers and actively contribute to the architecture, requirements, design, coding and testing of the Optimine MDP application lifecycle to effectively meet business needs
• Write SMART software requirements for the team
• Work with the system engineering team and translate wireframes into a scalable user interface
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Elaborate high-level system architecture of the integrated solutions with the devices
• Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems
• Implementing strategy for reusable code and libraries for future use
• Implementing security and data protection best practices
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Reviewing code work for compliance to software specifications
• Actively contributes to the definition of technology strategies (architecture, design, and interfacing) to effectively meet business needs
• In collaboration with the other team leaders and the design managers, they identify and actively contribute to the implementation of the best practices related to Software development and improve our internal processes.
• Keeping up to date with industry trends and technology developments
• Mentor and guide team members in their technical development
• Contribute to product release roadmap in collaboration with the system engineering team and stakeholders
• Support customer service, Deployment, After Market and Product Line teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Supervisory or Coaching role

• Motivate team members and create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
• Oversee day-to-day operation
• Monitor team performance
• Listen to team members’ feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts

Organizational Responsibilities

• Ensuring the smooth running of various activities or projects. Planning and organizing the material, human or financial resources necessary to carry out his work and participate in setting objectives. And lastly, following the results of his regular work and make the adjustments himself to ensure that the objectives are achieved.

What you will bring along

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• 10+ years in software development and architecture, including 5+ years leading a team
• Distributed application development; SOA/microservices; IoT/Cloud/Edge concepts; performance & scalability optimization
• Back-end: C#/.NET Core or Go; EF Core; REST APIs; GraphQL (Hasura); PostgreSQL
• Front-end: ReactJS, TypeScript, and Material Design
• DevOps & delivery: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, automated testing; Agile/Scrum
