Job Title: WelderJob DescriptionJoin our team as a Welder and play a crucial role in our production process. You will start your day with a toolbox meeting, review detailed drawings, and prepare your workstation. Your primary responsibility will be to use a sub-arc machine to weld various materials, predominantly steel, though experience with aluminum is also welcome. You will utilize an overhead crane to position your materials and complete the work order, occasionally performing fabrication and grinding tasks as needed.
Responsibilities- Participate in toolbox meetings and review drawings.
- Set up and prepare your workstation and machinery.
- Operate an overhead crane to position materials.
- Read and execute work orders accurately.
- Perform fabrication and grinding when necessary.
- Use a sub-arc machine for welding tasks.
Essential Skills- C level welding ticket.
- 2+ years of welding experience.
- Ability to operate an overhead crane.
- Reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to work morning or afternoon shifts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with sub-arc welding is an asset.
- Strong attendance record.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.

Work EnvironmentYou will work in a large, newly built heavy industrial manufacturing facility alongside approximately 40 production floor employees and 5 maintenance staff. Our workplace fosters a family-oriented environment with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork. The position requires availability for both day and afternoon shifts, with day shifts running from 6:45 am to 3:15 pm and afternoon shifts from 2:45 pm to 11:15 pm. A shift premium is available for afternoon work.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Langley City, BC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr.
