THE OPPORTUNITY:

Tundra is excited to announce an opportunity for a Field Equipping Coordinator, based in our Virden MB field operations area.

The main responsibility of the Field Equipping Coordinator is to plan, coordinate, and execute all new drill equipping activities while supporting wellsite equipment optimization and recovery work throughout the year. This role centralizes communication and improves efficiency by performing in‑house jack‑setting and equipping functions.

REPORTS TO: MB Operations Superintendent


WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

New Drill Equipping

  • Install and set pumpjacks
  • Install and set chemical injection pumps
  • Complete wellhead equipping activities
  • Support tie‑in activities
  • Coordinate electrical requirements (permits, notifications, scheduling)
  • Prepare and review well packages prior to rig release
  • Plan and allocate parts, materials, and equipment to streamline equipping activities
  • Manage material transfers and ensure accurate cost coding
  • Review project costs and invoices, investigate discrepancies, and work with Accounting to resolve misallocated charges


Operational Support

  • Recover, repair, and prepare used field equipment for redeployment
  • Plan and execute pumpjack swaps and optimization work
  • Manage equipment removal for abandonments and injection well conversions
  • Assist operations with troubleshooting and small projects
  • Support Wellhead Equipping Hoshin initiatives and continuous improvement activities
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of standardized equipping processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Safety

  • Partner with Safety to verify contractor training, certifications, and compliance
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with internal safe work procedures, regulations, and company policies
  • Report spills, near misses, and complete Hazard IDs

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Class 5 driver’s licence
  • Minimum 3 years’ oilfield experience, with previous experience in pumpjack setting and wellhead equipping considered an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of oilfield production equipment (chemical pumps, VFDs, compressors, and basic electrical components)
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Willingness to obtain (once employed):H2S AliveFirst Aid/CPRWHMISTransportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Proficiency with project tracking and digital work tools
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal direct supervision
  • Sense of accountability and ownership for equipment readiness, documentation accuracy, and project completion
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with coordinating multiple vendors, contractors, and internal teams
  • Experience with OpsReady considered an asset


OTHER DETAILS:

  • This position is primarily field‑based, and the successful incumbent must be prepared to work in all weather conditions, including extreme temperatures
  • Monday – Friday shift, with possible overtime required to ensure job completion and during busy periods (including weekends)
  • Required to drive to worksites using a company vehicle
  • May be required to lift items weighing 25 kg or more
  • Exposure to potential hazards, including hydrogen sulfide
  • Must comply with facial hair requirements for PPE
  • This is a safety‑sensitive position, requiring the successful incumbent to undergo pre‑employment drug & alcohol testing and fitness assessment
