Quality Control Lead

What is the opportunity?

Global Know Your Customer (KYC) Team is seeking a highly talented Quality Control (QC) lead for the RBC Capital Markets KYC QC function for the Canada and US regions located in Toronto. In this role you will have management responsibility of the regional Canada / US Client Onboarding and KYC Refresh QC Teams, tracking / driving process quality improvements, identifying control gaps and providing training and enhancing regulatory/ policy knowledge across the QC and Client Onboarding teams. In addition, this Senior Manager will lead and coordinate any regulatory and audit fieldwork and delivery of action plans related to any audit findings.

What will you do?

• Manage a team of QC analysts to ensure all AML and Regulatory obligations are being fulfilled in relation to AML Policies and Standards.

• Motivate individual and team performance to conduct accurate QC reviews of Client Onboarding and Global KYC Refresh cases for Capital Markets (CM) from an oversight control perspective.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key global KYC Capital Markets stakeholders.

• Enhance current KYC procedures to mitigate and regulatory breaches, ensure regulatory updates have been captured and conduct regulatory update training to the QC Team.

• Lead Coordinate for Audit and Regulatory exams for the region ensuring appropriate evidence is provided and associated action plans are completed against internal deadlines.

• Leveraging internal metrics and industry benchmarks to drive overall process / quality improvements and SLE adherence in the end to end lifecycle.

• Proactively tracking and resolving Quality defects and mitigating reoccurring audit issues.

• Lead by example, react flexibly to changing business needs and ensure that skill set can be transferred to support other teams including QC and Regional Onboarding teams

What you need to succeed?

• Bachelor's degree

• 5 to 7 years of Quality control experience including 3+ years of people management experience
