Senior Business Intelligence Developer to build data platforms using Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric and build reports using Power BI and Informatica for our public sector client (Req 512)

Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to build data platforms using Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric and build reports using Power BI and Informatica

Candidates can be % remote in Canada working MST hours. 37.5 hour work week

Must have:

• 5+ years of experience a Business Intelligence Developer focusing on Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric
• 5+ years’ experience of business intelligence and analytics solutions using SAP Informatica and Power BI
• 5+ years of experience applying data modelling principles (Kimball Dimensional Modelling), including working with database technologies and scripting, such as Oracle or SQL Server.
• Experience using PowerCenter Informatica to create or modify extract, transform, and load (ETL) scripts
• Experience mentoring other business intelligence and analytics developers.
• AZ- Certification (willing to train, hut will need to complete before starting)

Nice to haves:

• Knowledge of cloud data architecture (lakehouse, modern data warehouse)
• Experience with Azure security: managed identities, RBAC, data controls
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps (Azure DevOps, Git)
• Up to date Azure AZ- and Microsoft DP- & certification
• Data virtualization using Denodo and Business Objects
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with SMEs to define reporting requirements.
• Work with IT Governance team to validate solution architectural proposals.
• Review and update data marts as needed.
• Develop ETL scripts for new tables.
• Develop pipelines within Azure Data Factory.
• Build reports and dashboards with approved technologies.
• Prepare technical documentation for maintenance.
• Train internal support staff.
