Job Title: General Production Worker – Packer
Job Description
This role works in the packaging department producing granola bar products. You will support quality, packaging, or labeling on the production floor and ensure each product is accurately and safely packaged. The position involves standing for the entire shift, performing repetitive tasks, and rotating between two adjacent buildings as needed.
Responsibilities
- Package granola bars according to established standards, ensuring each product is accurately sealed, labeled, and prepared for shipment.
- Work in various areas of the packaging department, including quality inspection, packaging, and labeling, based on daily production needs.
- Follow written instructions and production documentation to maintain consistent product quality.
- Inspect products and packaging materials for defects or inconsistencies and remove or report any nonconforming items.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Lift and move boxes or materials weighing up to 30 pounds as part of the packaging process.
- Stand for the duration of the shift while working at production and packaging lines.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all site policies related to food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene.
- Work between two nearby buildings as required, including walking outside mid-shift to move between facilities.
- Keep work areas clean and organized, supporting a safe and efficient production environment.
Essential Skills
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds safely and repeatedly during the shift.
- Ability to stand for the entire shift while performing repetitive production and packaging tasks.
- English reading and writing skills to understand labels, instructions, and production documentation.
- Experience working in a repetitive manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate packaging, labeling, and quality checks.
- Reliability and consistency in following procedures and meeting production expectations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a food or similar environment.
- Previous experience in food and beverage production or packaging.
- Comfort working in a facility that processes nuts, including peanuts and other allergens.
- Willingness to rotate between tasks such as quality inspection, packaging, and labeling as needed.

Work Environment
The role is based in a smaller food production facility that manufactures granola bars containing nuts. The plant is clean and follows strict GMP standards, with a noticeable aroma of chocolate, caramel, and nuts throughout the production area. Because nut products are processed onsite, this environment is not suitable for individuals with peanut or nut allergies. Work is performed on your feet for the full shift at production and packaging lines, involving repetitive motions and lifting up to 30 pounds. The facility is generally temperature controlled but can become warm during the summer months. Employees may be required to move between two adjacent buildings during the shift, which involves briefly going outside. Shifts are structured as a first shift from 7:00 . to 3:00 . and a second shift from 3:00 . to 11:00 .
