We are seeking a Tool & Die Apprentice to assist in building, repairing, assembling and rebuilding die cast tooling to support production at our plant in Peterborough, Ontario.
Duties include performing machining operations to a high degree of tolerance, assisting in troubleshooting issues with dies, and improving, repairing or modifying tools and fixtures.
The ideal candidate will be eager, detail-orientated, and a quick learner. In addition, you possess excellent communication skills, are an analytical problem solver and can read and interpret part drawings. You will work alongside our skilled Toolmakers to grow and develop your skills.
This position is ideal for a candidate who is currently enrolled as a first or second year apprentice in the Tool & Die Maker certificate program, however other skill levels will also be considered. You must be available to work rotating day and afternoon shifts as required.
