Reporting to the IDD Manager, the Jr. GIS Analyst will support the delivery of geospatial data, maps, and tools that enable design, construction, and infrastructure planning. This role, will work closely with GIS and Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) team members to maintain spatial datasets, support field and office teams, and assist in developing GIS solutions that improve project delivery.
This position is ideal for an early-career GIS professional who has a strong foundation in GIS concepts and is ready to grow their skills in enterprise GIS, CAD/BIM integration, and real-world construction workflows.
What You’ll Do Here:
- Support the GIS team by preparing, maintaining, and updating geospatial datasets across multiple projects.
- Assist with basic ETL workflows using FME, including data validation, transformation, and loading (training and mentorship provided).
- Help integrate CAD/BIM files (DWG/DGN/RVT/IFC) into GIS datasets, including georeferencing, layer validation, and schema alignment.
- Create and update web maps and simple dashboards using ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Prepare field maps and support mobile GIS workflows using tools such as Field Maps and Survey123.
- Perform spatial QA/QC, data cleanup, and metadata documentation in accordance with GIS standards.
- Conduct research and data collection to support GIS standards, workflows, and best practices.
- Provide GIS support to project teams and participate in coordination meetings.
- Participate in occasional local site visits, as appropriate, to support data validation and understanding of field workflows.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Diploma or degree in GIS, Geomatics, Geography, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in a GIS or geospatial role (including internships or co-op experience).
- Working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro and core GIS concepts such as editing, projections, and geodatabases.
- Interest in enterprise GIS environments and construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow data standards and workflows.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Good organizational skills and willingness to learn new tools and processes.
- Exposure to FME, Python, or ArcGIS Online/Enterprise environments is considered an asset.
- Experience working with CAD files (e.g., DWG) in a GIS context is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with mobile data collection tools such as Field Maps or Survey123.
- Interest in transportation, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects.

Pay Range: $68,000-$78,000
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
