Your new role
As a Senior Project Engineer – Building Science, you will lead the evaluation, assessment, restoration, and retrofitting of existingmercial, industrial, and residential buildings, with a strong focus on building enclosure systems.You’ll work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams, contributing both technical expertise and leadership. The role requiresfort working on active construction sites and deep knowledge of enclosure design across BC climate zones.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects and clients from conceptual design throughpletion
- Conduct site investigations and evaluate existing building structures/envelope systems
- Develop rehabilitation programs and rmend solutions to clients
- Perform design and analysis of buildingponents, systems, and upgrades
- Prepare technical reports, studies, drawings, and specifications
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and architectural teams
- Provide contract administration and construction review
- Lead and mentor junior staff
- Support business development, maintain client relationships, and pursue new opportunities
- Set and manage project budgets
What you'll need to succeed
Professional Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Materials Science
- Registered with EGBC
Experience
- 10–15 years of building science and restoration experience
- Previous consulting experience considered an asset
- Experience supervising and mentoring 2–3 staff
