Shift Supervisor - fishRecruit Inc.

This role is responsible for leading an afternoon shift within a fast-paced distribution centre. You’ll oversee daily operations, ensure health and safety standards are met, manage inventory accuracy, and support a team to deliver strong performance across productivity, quality, and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a warehouse team during shift operations
• Drive a strong health and safety culture, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Monitor productivity, order quality, and compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, GMP)
• Manage shift reporting using WMS and Microsoft Office tools to track performance and identify improvements
• Run shift start-up meetings, manage schedules, and provide coaching and performance feedback
• Maintain strong labour relations in a unionized environment and address employee concerns in a timely, solutions-focused way
• Ensure all SOPs and operational standards are followed consistently
• Support budgeting, planning, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Partner cross-functionally and ensure smooth shift handovers

Key Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years of experience leading warehouse teams, ideally in a unionized environment
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety standards, and material handling practices
• Solid communication and leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop teams
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Experience with WMS systems, SAP (or similar), and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint)
