Summary:
The Account Manager will be responsible for managing the business relationship between OIA Global Brand Clients, OIA internal and 3rd party Brand stakeholders for packaging-related projects and other Brand program initiatives. They will also assist in identification and qualification new business opportunities related to packaging within existing Brand client accounts.
Location: We are open to candidates in the U.S. and Canada
Salary Range: Competitive and determined based on location and experience. Specific compensation details will be shared directly with candidates selected for a phone screen.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely to support Brand Account Management Leadership with packaging-related programs and initiatives.
- Provide best in class account management and customer service to assigned existing and prospective Brand clients as well as OIA internal stakeholders.
- Be the primary point of contact for assigned Brand accounts while maintaining responsive and effective communication channels that yield comprehensive and accurate communications between OIA Global, Brand Clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships across geographies and at multiple levels with the assigned Brand accounts to comprehensively understand current and anticipated client product and service needs.
- Stay informed of assigned Brand Clients’ publicly and internally communicated strategic initiatives for the purpose of advising OIA Global leadership on the development of product and process solutions to meet or exceed the Brand clients near and long-term strategies.
- Ensure timely communication of necessary information to external and internal partners.
- Assist with development and tracking of project timelines in support of new designs, implementations or additional processes and programs of client projects.
- Create and present key client-facing deliverables, including but not limited to seasonal business reviews, new business proposals, and other analyses as needed.
- Provide support to OIA operational teams to resolve material issues relating to production, sourcing limitations, timelines, and inventories. Respect their expertise, collaborate, maintain and develop internal relationships in the interest of client needs for their projects.
- Along with Sales Managers, qualify new projects and collaborate with OIA internal teams to identify risks and advantages of potential business.
- Collaborate internally with colleagues and externally with clients to ensure packaging delivers on time and in budget.
- Support internal teams in efforts to refine inefficient processes impacting clients, improving customer service levels and facilitating future growth.
- Write thorough packaging opportunity document briefs that define targets and goals. Ensure internal and external teams have all the necessary information for successful deliverables.
- Facilitate meetings, manage agendas, and capture clear notes with action items to share with appropriate stakeholders. Recap verbal conversations within the same day whenever possible.
- Communicate with designated levels of management and personnel regarding the nature of the projects, and all problems as well as their handling and resolution, keeping management apprised of all new developments and situations.
- Attend meetings and perform other duties as required by management.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs.

- Working knowledge of Global-based FMCG supply chains.
- Advanced project management skills and the ability to manage multiple high-level projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively review or learn to review cost estimates, manufacturing specifications, graphic files, and other relevant project documentation to verify accuracy and fitness for Brand Clients stated objectives.
- Ability to identify and communicate strategic strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to Brand Client business
- Superior verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with a cross-cultural and customer service focus that is persuasive, creative, confident, and timely.
- Must have the ability to exercise independent decision-making with outstanding organizational skills and attention to accuracy and detail.
- Intermediate computer skills in word processing and advanced spreadsheet skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
- Must possess intermediate to advanced mathematical and analytical skills.
- Must possess excellent reasoning, negotiation, and listening skills. Must be able to adapt to changing environments and work well with a variety of people and customers in a cross-cultural environment.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain, science, or a related field is desired
- 3+ years of experience in the packaging industry, project management, or product development, preferably in the FMCG industry
- Experience liaising within a client facing role and internal stakeholders is required

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
