Service Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day scheduling and dispatching of service technicians, ensuring efficient routing, prioritization, and resource allocation across multiple concurrent service calls and small projects.
• Coordinate closely with field staff to track job progress, adjust schedules in real time, and proactively resolve conflicts or delays.
• Manage and review timesheets for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with job costing and billing requirements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, handling inbound inquiries and providing timely updates via phone and email on active and upcoming work.
• Maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication, follow-ups, and professional issue resolution.
• Support service operations by ensuring all administrative components (work orders, service documentation, job tracking) are completed accurately and on time.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders including Service Manager, technicians, and accounting to ensure seamless workflow from job intake through to invoicing.
• Monitor service workflows and identify opportunities to improve scheduling efficiency and overall team productivity.
• Execute tasks and directives with a high level of accuracy and responsiveness, ensuring alignment with management expectations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a Service Coordinator, Project Coordinator, or similar operations-focused role within construction, trades, or a service-based environment.
• Prior experience in electrical contracting or a related trade environment is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage high volumes of scheduling, dispatching, and coordination in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and client-focused approach.
• Demonstrated ability to take direction, execute tasks efficiently, and work collaboratively within a structured team environment.
• High attention to detail, particularly in timesheet tracking, documentation, and administrative accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and experience with service management or dispatch software is an asset.
• Self-starter mindset with the ability to operate independently and “hit the ground running” with minimal training.
